I had a mixed experience at the Inn On Bellevue. While the location was fantastic and the staff friendly, I encountered several issues that affected my stay. The cleaning standards left much to be desired and the room amenities fell short of expectations, though the breakfast options were satisfactory.

Rooms
5.0
The room was ok size for a historical B&B, but cleaning was lacking. I noticed packaging on surfaces and even a clogged shower drain. The mattress wasn't fluffy and overall comfort was not as expected.
Service
5.0
Staff were friendly, but the issues I raised didn't seem to be taken seriously. I was left wanting better communication about the cleaning staff after my concerns about the unclean room.
Location
8.0
Location was great—walking distance to Thames St. and near some wonderful restaurants. This made it easy for me to explore the historic district.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was held at a nearby location which offered decent choices like quiche and muffins, although seating was quite limited. It was good but definitely not the usual continental spread.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities were basic, and it didn't have essential items like a coffee maker in the room, which I missed. Overall, it seemed like they could benefit from some updating.

7.2/10

My stay at Inn On Bellevue was a mix of positives and negatives. While the location was fantastic for exploring Newport, I found the accommodations a bit lackluster compared to other B&Bs I've experienced. The breakfast was decent, but I hoped for more options and seating. Overall, it's an average choice with room for improvement.

Rooms
5.0
I was surprised by the strong cleaning chemical smell upon entering my room. The size was acceptable for a historical B&B, but the small bathroom was a challenge. I found the mattress uncomfortable, and the room became excessively hot as the heat was on during August. It was puzzling.
Service
6.0
The staff was quite accommodating, which I appreciated. However, some issues I raised regarding the heating and a few other concerns weren't fully resolved. It felt like common issues needed better management.
Location
8.0
The location was definitely a highlight! I was able to walk practically everywhere I wanted to go, from restaurants to shops. It was conveniently close to many attractions in Newport.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was served at an off-site location, which was a bit inconvenient. While the food options included nice items like quiche and pastries, the limited seating was a letdown as I had to arrive early to secure a spot.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities felt dated and could use some upgrades. There were minor irritations like the lack of afternoon snacks, and no drink stations in the common areas, which I expected from a B&B.

I had a lovely stay at Inn On Bellevue, where the breakfasts were a highlight, featuring daily changes and delicious options. However, I encountered some issues with the amenities and room conditions that put a damper on things. The location is perfect for accessing Newport’s attractions, but the lack of Wi-Fi and some maintenance concerns were frustrating.

Rooms
6.0
My room was charming but felt a bit cramped, and there was too much furniture to navigate comfortably. The bathroom could use some updates, and the lack of Wi-Fi was disappointing.
Service
7.0
The staff was super friendly and accommodating, especially Kim, who really made an effort to ensure a great stay. But I did have a rough experience with management about some room issues.
Location
9.0
The location was one of the best features, being just a short walk from shops and restaurants, yet still quiet enough for a relaxing stay.
Dining
8.0
Breakfast exceeded my expectations—it was hot and filling with great variety, which was a nice surprise for a B&B!
Facilities
5.0
Facilities need some improvement; the air conditioning was quirky, and the bathroom fixtures seemed a bit outdated. Some maintenance was definitely needed.

I recently stayed at the Inn On Bellevue and overall, it was a lovely experience. The location was excellent, within walking distance of many attractions, yet peaceful enough to avoid noise. However, I did find some aspects of the room, like the dated bathroom and little quirks with amenities, needing updates. The service team was genuinely friendly and accommodating, which made a positive difference. 😊

My room was spacious and comfortable, with a nice kitchenette. However, I felt it could use some updating, and there was a strange musty smell. I appreciated the cleanliness, but I wish the decor felt more modern.
Service

The service was stellar, with the staff going out of their way to provide a wonderful experience. They accommodated my requests well, which added to my stay. Special shoutout to Modesto at the front desk for making me feel special upon arrival!
Location

Location-wise, I couldn't have asked for more. It was close to everything I wanted to see and do in Newport, from restaurants to shops. It was just perfect for a leisurely stroll to the piers and nearby attractions. 🌊
Dining

Breakfast had a nice variety of choices, which I enjoyed, but I expected a bit more from a bed and breakfast. Some items seemed like they had been on the warmer for too long. Still, it was a good start to my day.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were fairly standard, and while they met my needs for the short stay, they could definitely benefit from some upgrades.

I had a wonderful time at the Inn on Bellevue during my recent visit. The location was ideal for exploring Newport, and my room was clean and cozy. However, my check-in experience was not the best, as the receptionist was a bit unfriendly. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it for its charm and great breakfast options.
